Specializes in Substance Use Recovery and Parental Attachment Wounds.
"Regardless of how long ago something happened, and regardless of how long symptoms have been there, it doesn't need to be permanent." From Getting Past Your Past (Shapiro, 2012)
Molly founded LA Therapy Alliance in 2021 after years of trauma-focused work with the California Department of Mental Health, Pasadena DMH, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she saw firsthand how often substance use and trauma are intertwined, and how rarely they're treated that way. Her approach centers on the root causes, not just the symptoms: many people getting sober aren't just quitting a substance, they're learning to live without the thing that helped them survive something else first.
She holds an MSW from USC and a BFA from CalArts, a background that shapes her creative, culturally attuned approach to healing. She combines EMDR, motivational interviewing, TF-CBT, and solution-focused modalities to support clients through early recovery, relapse prevention, and the underlying trauma that often drives substance use in the first place. Always client-centered: you choose, together, what fits.
Molly sees healing as a sine wave, with ups and downs but always trending upward. Her work centers on creating the safety to let go of the past and rewrite your story, sober and whole.
Off the clock, you'll find Molly hanging out with horses, playing board games with friends, or on the receiving end of the bodywork she swears by, from acupuncture to lymphatic massage. She's also a devoted student of functional and integrative medicine, always deepening the whole-person lens she brings to the practice.
